If you follow me on Instagram, you will already know that earlier this month, Mr Z, Baby Z and I left for London, for 3 days of sightseeing, shopping and slurping tea. Below is a short account of our lovely trip to London City!
The time had come. The time for Baby Z to embark on his first flight abroad. Out of the place he knew to be home, Dubai, and into a closed cabin of cool temperature and strangers who would become support systems, where he was essentially locked into for the duration of a 7 hour plane journey. Oh the excitement was just unreal!
Saturday morning myself, Mr Z and Baby Z set off on our long journey from Dubai to England, for our month long vacation. There was a mixture of excitement and nerves, as was to be expected, since it was Baby Z’s first ever flight of his lifetime! Eeek! Below I share with you what we wore for the 7 hour long plane journey!
Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulillah during the past month.
Things I said Alhumdulillah for in September:
Airports. There’s something about them that evokes a lot of emotion inside me. Whether it is picking up and dropping off a beloved, or arriving and departing myself, I always find myself watching everything around me in awe, especially people’s behaviours. Having dropped off my brother only last week at the airport *sob*, I was able to witness the travel lust once more.
Last weekend, the husband, Baby Z and I left for a 2 night staycation at Al Hamra Resort in Ras Al Khaimah. Upon arrival and after sipping our welcome drinks, we were told that we had been upgraded from the Al Hamra chalets to a suite in Al Hamra Palace Beach Resort. We couldn’t be more excited!
Al Hamra Palace Beach Resort was simply gorgeous, and every bit as regal as the name suggested. Their service was exceptional and we left feeling spoilt and relaxed and with family memories that will be cherished for many years to come.Continue reading
